WHAT IS POCA AND WHY JOIN?
POCA (People's Organization of Community Acupuncture) is community of like-minded acupuncturists, patients, students, and clinics dedicated to the advocacy and promotion of affordable community acupuncture for all. Through community building, micro-lending to clinics opening in underserved areas, the creation of an affordable community acupuncture school --and more-- POCA aims to bring acupuncture to the people!
BAP joined POCA way back when we opened in 2009 and have been members ever since. We support POCA because of its strong and long-time commitment to making acupuncture affordable and accessible. Being part of the POCA community provides support and opportunities for collaboration to folks working to truly serve their communities. There are POCA member clinics all over the U.S. (and even a few abroad!)
Twice a year, POCA clinic members host drives to encourage patients to join.
There are POCA member clinics all over the U.S. and each clinic offers their own benefits to POCA members during drive months. At BAP, twice a year, we offer discounted treatments the whole month of a drive, as well as a free birthday treatment to POCA members (during the month of your birthday).
